Bad Breath And Remedies To Control It
Wondering why people stay at arm’s length with you? Why do they maintain a distance while talking to you? Ever checked your breath? Bad Breath or Halitosis is an instant turn off.
Causes can be poor oral hygiene, abscess, smoking, certain foods and beverages, infected tonsils or gums, inflamed sinuses, diseases of the lungs, acidity and sluggish intestines, emotional problems such as anxiety, drugs and medications, diabetes and lung cancer.
Bad breath can also be a result of putrefactive bacteria in undigested foods in the digestive tract, diseased gums or any deficiency which causes indigestion. The nearly invisible film of bacteria that forms in the mouth can also cause it. A stale breath may indicate poor digestion.
REMEDIAL MEASURES FOR BAD BREATH:
1.) Increase in the diet foods that improve digestion and prevent putrefaction.
2.) Eat foods that help fight plague such as celery, carrots and peanuts.
3.) Chew a few parsley leaves or a teaspoon of dill seeds after each meal to clear bad breath due to indigestion.
4.) Chew a few red dates or fresh parsley leaves to clear bad breath due to eating garlic.
5.) Gargle with a glass of warm water mixed with a drop of thyme oil or clove oil after meals.
6.) If the bad breath is due to digestive disorders avoid eating acid producing foods like fried foods, red meat and drinking coffee and alcohol.
LIFESTYLE FACTORS: Cleanliness is important. Brush your teeth after every meal if possible as part of oral hygiene. Gargling with warm lemon water eases bad breath. Happy Bonding with a fresh chirpy fragrant breath!
